Vohrel LLC (“Vohrel,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for every student, parent, and tutor. This Acceptable Use & Code of Conduct (“Code”) sets the behavioral expectations that apply to all participants in Vohrel tutoring sessions and interactions with the Platform.
By booking a session or participating in any Vohrel service, you (and your child, if applicable) agree to abide by this Code. For minor students, the parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring the student understands and follows these standards.
01Who This Code Applies To
This Code governs the conduct of:
- Students — all individuals receiving tutoring through Vohrel, regardless of age.
- Parents & Guardians — individuals who book, manage, or observe tutoring sessions on behalf of a student.
- Tutors — all individuals providing tutoring services through Vohrel.
The same core principles—respect, professionalism, and integrity—apply equally to everyone.
02Student Expectations
Students participating in Vohrel sessions are expected to:
2.1 Respect & Communication
- Treat tutors and fellow students (in group sessions) with courtesy and respect
- Use appropriate, non-offensive language at all times
- Listen attentively and allow others to speak without interruption
- Communicate openly when a concept is unclear or when you need a different approach
2.2 Engagement & Preparation
- Join sessions on time and remain present for the full duration
- Come prepared with relevant materials (textbook, calculator, notebook, etc.)
- Actively participate in exercises, discussions, and problem-solving
- Complete any recommended practice between sessions to reinforce learning
2.3 Virtual Session Environment
- Be in a quiet, well-lit space conducive to learning
- Keep your camera on when requested by the tutor, unless you have communicated a reason for keeping it off
- Dress appropriately for a learning environment (as you would for school)
- Minimize distractions—silence notifications, close unrelated tabs and apps
- Do not eat full meals during sessions (water and small snacks are fine)
2.4 Academic Integrity
- Do not ask tutors to complete homework, assignments, projects, or exams on your behalf
- Do not request answers to active tests or quizzes
- Do not present another person’s work as your own during sessions
- Do not share, distribute, or screenshot Vohrel instructional materials without permission
Our tutors are here to teach you how to solve problems—not to solve them for you. If a tutor believes a student is requesting help that violates academic integrity policies at their school, the tutor will decline the request and may notify the parent.
03Parent & Guardian Expectations
Parents and guardians are expected to:
- Communicate respectfully with tutors and Vohrel staff
- Provide accurate information about the student’s academic needs and any relevant learning considerations
- Ensure the student is in an appropriate environment for learning during sessions
- Respect session time boundaries—if you need to speak with the tutor, please schedule time outside the session or use email
- Direct concerns, complaints, or feedback through support@vohrel.com rather than confronting a tutor during a live session
- For students under 13, remain available (not necessarily present) during the session
Parents are welcome to observe any session. If observing, we ask that you do not interrupt the instructional flow. If you have feedback or concerns, please share them after the session.
04Tutor Standards
Vohrel holds its tutors to the highest professional standards. Every Vohrel tutor is expected to:
4.1 Professionalism
- Arrive on time, prepared, and focused for every session
- Deliver instruction that is clear, patient, and adapted to the student’s level
- Maintain a supportive, encouraging tone—especially when a student is struggling
- Dress appropriately for a professional learning environment
- Provide constructive feedback that builds the student’s confidence and capability
4.2 Boundaries
- Never communicate with a minor student outside of scheduled Vohrel sessions
- Never request or share personal contact information (phone numbers, personal email, social media) with students
- Never arrange meetings with students outside of the Vohrel platform
- Never engage in any behavior that could be perceived as grooming, favoritism, or inappropriate attention toward a student
- Report any concerning behavior by a student to the parent and to Vohrel management immediately
4.3 Confidentiality
- Treat all student academic information as confidential
- Do not discuss a student’s performance with anyone other than the student’s parent/guardian or authorized Vohrel personnel
- Do not share session content, recordings, or student materials externally
4.4 Mandatory Reporting
Vohrel tutors may be mandatory reporters under applicable state law. If a tutor has reasonable cause to believe that a child is being abused or neglected, they are legally obligated to report this to the appropriate authorities. This obligation supersedes all other provisions in this Code.
05Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited for all participants—students, parents, and tutors. Violation may result in immediate session termination and further action as outlined in Section 6.
5.1 Harassment & Discrimination
- Verbal abuse, threats, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
- Discriminatory remarks or behavior based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability
- Sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, gestures, or imagery
5.2 Inappropriate Content
- Displaying, sharing, or referencing sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material during sessions
- Using profane, vulgar, or offensive language
- Sharing content that promotes illegal activity, substance use, or self-harm
5.3 Safety Violations

- Using the Platform or sessions for any purpose other than educational tutoring
- Impersonating another person during a session or communication
- Sharing login credentials, session links, or proprietary materials with unauthorized parties
06Enforcement & Consequences
Vohrel takes violations of this Code seriously. Our enforcement approach is proportional to the severity of the conduct and prioritizes the safety of all participants, especially minor students.
| Level | Applies When | Action Taken |
|---|
| Level 1 | Minor, first-time behavioral issue (e.g., persistent distraction, minor language, lack of engagement) | Verbal reminder during session. Parent notified after session via email. |
| Level 2 | Repeated Level 1 behavior after verbal warning, or a single moderate violation (e.g., disrespect toward tutor, refusal to follow session guidelines) | Written warning sent to parent via email. Session may be ended early. No refund for terminated session. |
| Level 3 | Continued violations after written warning, or a single serious violation (e.g., academic dishonesty request, unauthorized recording, inappropriate language directed at tutor) | Session immediately terminated. Temporary suspension from booking (duration at Vohrel’s discretion). No refund. Parent conference required before reinstatement. |
| Level 4 | Any behavior involving harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual content, safety violations, or illegal activity | Session immediately terminated. Permanent ban from all Vohrel services. No refund. Authorities notified if applicable. |
Vohrel reserves the right to escalate directly to any level based on the severity of the conduct. Not every violation will follow a sequential progression.
Enforcement decisions are made at Vohrel’s sole discretion. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@vohrel.comwith the subject line “Conduct Appeal.” Appeals will be reviewed within 14 business days.
07Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code—whether by a student, parent, or tutor—please report it immediately.
How to Report:
When submitting a report, please include:
- Your name and role (student, parent, tutor)
- Date and approximate time of the incident
- Name(s) of the individual(s) involved
- A description of what occurred
- Any supporting evidence (screenshots, etc.) if available
All reports are reviewed confidentially. We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and provide a resolution or status update within 14 business days.
Vohrel prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a violation in good faith. Retaliation itself is a Level 3 or Level 4 violation.
08Tutor Accountability
Tutors are held to the same—and in many cases higher—standards as students and parents. If a tutor violates this Code, the following actions may be taken:
- Verbal counseling and documented warning
- Temporary suspension from tutoring assignments
- Permanent removal from the Vohrel tutoring team
- Referral to law enforcement if the conduct involves illegal activity or child safety concerns
If you have a concern about a tutor’s conduct, please report it using the process in Section 7. Parent and student safety reports involving tutors receive priority review.
09Additional Rules for Group Sessions
Group sessions involve multiple students and require additional consideration. In addition to all standards above, the following rules apply specifically to group settings:
- Allow every participant equal opportunity to ask questions and engage
- Do not dominate the conversation or prevent others from participating
- Do not share personal information about yourself or other students in the group
- Do not privately message other students during the session unless the tutor explicitly permits it
- Respect that students in the group may be at different levels—patience and kindness are expected
The tutor has authority to manage the group dynamic, including muting participants, redirecting conversation, or removing a disruptive student from the session.
10Intellectual Property & Content Use
All instructional materials, presentations, worksheets, and visual aids provided during Vohrel sessions are the intellectual property of Vohrel LLC. You may not:
- Screenshot, record, or capture session content without written permission
- Reproduce, distribute, or sell Vohrel materials
- Share session links or materials with anyone not enrolled in the session
- Post Vohrel content on social media, file-sharing platforms, or any public forum
Materials shared by the student or parent (homework, worksheets, etc.) remain the property of the student/parent. Vohrel claims no ownership over user-provided materials.

This Code works in conjunction with Vohrel’s broader legal framework:
- Terms of Service — governs your overall use of the Platform.
- Parental / Guardian Consent Agreement — references this Code as a condition of consent for minor students.
- Refund & Cancellation Policy — sessions terminated due to Code violations are non-refundable.
- Privacy Policy — governs how conduct reports and related data are handled.
In the event of a conflict between this Code and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail.
