Children's Privacy

Our Approach

Vohrel is a premium math tutoring service. We designed our Platform so that parents and guardians — not children — are the primary users.

• No account creation. Vohrel does not offer account registration for any user, including children.
• Parent-mediated interaction. All session bookings, payments, and communications are initiated and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Minimal data collection. We collect only the information necessary to deliver tutoring services, and we collect it from parents — never directly from children through the Platform.

Information We Collect

2.1 From the Parent or Guardian

• Parent or guardian’s full name
• Email address (used for scheduling confirmations and session communications)
• Phone number (optional, for scheduling purposes)
• Payment information (processed by our third-party payment processor; Vohrel does not store payment card details)

2.2 About the Child

• First name (used to personalize the tutoring experience)
• Grade level or approximate age range (used to tailor instructional content)
• General academic focus areas (e.g., algebra, geometry — provided by the parent)

2.3 Materials Shared via Email

Parents may voluntarily send homework, worksheets, or other academic materials to our tutoring team via email so we can better assess and support the student. These materials are used exclusively for tutoring purposes and are not uploaded to or stored on the Platform.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect Social Security numbers, biometric data, or geolocation data from children.
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to collect personal information from children.
• We do not permit children to submit personal information directly through the Platform.

How We Use Children’s Information

• To deliver and personalize math tutoring sessions
• To communicate with the parent or guardian about scheduling, session progress, and instructional recommendations
• To maintain internal records necessary for service delivery

We do not use children’s information for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the tutoring services requested by the parent.

How We Share Children’s Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade any child’s personal information. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. Third-party service providers (such as payment processors and email hosting) may process parent-provided information in connection with our services.
• Legal obligations. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request.
• Safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a child or the public.

Parental Consent

Because Vohrel does not collect personal information directly from children through the Platform, and because all interactions are initiated by a parent or guardian, we rely on the parent’s act of booking a session and providing their child’s information as verifiable parental consent under COPPA.

By booking a tutoring session for a child under 13, the parent or guardian represents and warrants that they have the legal authority to provide information about the child and to consent to our collection and use of that information as described in this Notice.

Parental Rights

• Review the personal information we have collected about their child.
• Request deletion of their child’s personal information from our records.
• Refuse further collection of their child’s information, understanding that this may prevent us from delivering tutoring services.
• Withdraw consent at any time for future collection and use.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@vohrel.com. We will verify your identity before processing any request and respond to all verified requests within 30 calendar days.

Data Retention & Security

We retain children’s personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the tutoring services requested by the parent, plus any period required by applicable law or legitimate business need. When a parent requests deletion or when we no longer have a legitimate need to retain the information, we will securely delete or de-identify the child’s personal information within 30 calendar days.

We implement commercially reasonable safeguards including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, and regular review of security practices and service provider agreements. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Third-Party Services

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by Vohrel. This Notice does not apply to those third-party services. We do not knowingly integrate with third-party services that collect personal information directly from children.

Changes & Applicable Law

We may update this Notice from time to time. If we make material changes to how we handle children’s personal information, we will notify parents via email and post the updated Notice with a revised effective date. This Notice is governed by the laws of the State of Utah. For users subject to GDPR, additional rights may apply as described in our general Privacy Policy.
